Laketrails 50th Anniversary Reunion

group

And what a reunion it was!!

Over 135 Laketrailers and friends gathered for a super weekend, including all seven staff members from 1952! Here's a picture of the whole gang, on Sunday afternoon.

HOUSING

We made our own arrangements--with great variety. Some people stayed in the cabins, some in tents, some at Sunset Lodge and other nearby resorts, some with nearby Laketrails families.

Some got rained out--like Father Bill! The lake rose three feet in the last weeks before the reunion, and Father Bill's Wheelhouse nearly floated away.

TRANSPORTATION

Wildly improbable methods, both short and long distances. Jack, Larry, Rosemary, and the Dingles jaunted over in their boats from nearby islands. Many folks drove up from Minnesota and the Dakotas, parked in Young's Bay, and got a ride over. Others flew into Minneapolis or Winnipeg. The long distance awards go to Laketrailers from Alaska, and Cabo San Lucas, on the tip of Baja California in Mexico. canoe

COST

Worth every penny!
